A Little About Me
Lorena Castro was born and raised in the Denver area. She is a first-generation student and is the first in her family to receive a college degree. Lorena completed undergraduate school at University of Colorado – Boulder. She earned a double bachelor’s degree in both Integrative Physiology and Spanish Language and Literature. Prior to PA school, Lorena worked as certified nurse assistant (CNA) for five years in both a skilled nursing facility and acute inpatient hospital setting. Additionally, she also has experience as an emergency room scribe. Lorena graduated from Rocky Vista University in Parker, CO with her master’s in physician assistant studies in 2021. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has a passion for underserved and underrepresented communities. As a Colorado native, Lorena enjoys spending her free time outside: hiking, camping, backpacking, golfing, and fly fishing. She enjoys watching sports, specifically the Colorado Avalanche. #GoAvsGo
